Plan = Structure

"Your thoughts on how the day is going to go: “I am going to get so much done! We are going to go to the park, play, Mommy will clean, do laundry, and have dinner on the table by 5pm"

vs

"How the day actually goes..... It's 2pm and you just drank cold coffee that has been sitting on the counter for an hour….. and your house is a mess."

Trust me i've been there! I think having a plan on what your going to do for the day will eliminate worry about how your going to get through a long day. You need to plan your day. Like actually plan every hr of your day out. When you have a plan this will create structure.

Following the below step will help create predictability.

Step 1:

Have the same wake up time every day- Weekends can vary by 30 min if your lucky to sleep in.

Step 2: Get baby ready for the day with a fresh diaper and a cute outfit.

Step 3:

Breakfast or bottle for baby and coffee for mommy!

Step 4:

Do an indoor activity! Click here for 20 easy activities! This gives mom time to finish her coffee or have breakfast while your little one plays. Step 5: Nap time- Diaper, sleep sack and down.... Step 5.5:

Mommy gets ready Step 6:

Wake up for a snack or bottle Step 7:

Go out to the store or park (Leave the house) Click here for a list of essential items to have in your baby bag Step 8: Come home for lunch/bottle and then down for a nap. Step 9: Wake up: Free play and make dinner with baby!

Step 10: Bath, Bottle, Book, and Bed! Click here for my other sleep tips

Once you get the hang of babies day and when they nap and when they eat. Keep to that same schedule every day. This creates a pattern. When your babe has a structured day they know what to expect, they know what is next. This limits the melt downs.
